OSSIX Bone is an ossifying matrix that consists of 20% collagen and 80% hydroxyapatite. It is a porous "spongy" matrix. Over time, the OSSIX Bone matrix is absorbed and it is replaced by new bone as part of the natural healing process. Preclinical studies have shown that 50% or more remain in place after six months.
