The Milevsko Monastery is the oldest in southern Bohemia. It was founded in 1187. The monastery grounds also include the Church of St. Giles and the monastery basilica, which is the only Romanesque basilica in southern Bohemia.It is one of the three most valuable Romanesque buildings in the entire Czech Republic.
