The device functions by creating a mechanical barrier in situ to prevent biocontamination of oral lesions, acting as a coadjuvant in the healing process. The purpose of use is to maintain the healing state of the wound achieved by the physician for a sufficient period of time and to ensure that the wound healing process is initiated.
