The Mousse containing F-ACP complex® - innovative patented nanotechnology is characterized by its biomimetic, bioactive and biocompatible properties. Contains amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) particles enriched with carbonate and fluoride, with a citrate outer layer.ACP is a non-crystalline, highly reactive material that converts itself to hydroxyapatite crystals in contact with water.Citrate in the complex serves as a buffer system, adjusts the acidity and neutralizes the pH of the solution. Carbonate increases the solubility of the complex and the bioavailability of active ions: calcium, phosphates and fluorides. Fluoride is present in free form and contributes to the formation of fluorapatite.Therefore, F-ACP complex® is a highly reactive material in the environment of the oral cavity. In contact with saliva, the active ions are quickly selectively released at the level of dentine and enamel lesions, where they create a new mineral phase that is more resistant to the acidic attack.
