The Curasept ADS DNA Implant Pro mouthwash combines the anti-plaque and antibacterial efficacy of chlorhexidine at a concentration of 0.20% with polynucleotides, which reduce inflammatory symptoms of the oral mucosa, and hyaluronic acid with different molecular weights, which is able to act at different levels of the oral mucosa, improving tissue hydration and elasticity. The new ADS system has been improved to enhance the action against all three mechanisms of pigmentation and to help minimize its potential impact by adding N-acetylcysteine (NAC) to the already present sodium metabisulphite and ascorbic acid. Polynucleotides act as a cellular bioactivator with a dual action: anti-inflammatory activity and stimulation of tissue renewal. In addition, they help counteract the irritating effects of long-term chlorhexidine use, while hyaluronic acid aids the regeneration process of the oral mucosa.
